This activity is included in the cultural interests of the project research. To the first works carried out in some seminars and workshops of design and since 80s in the roman offices of Aymonino, Panella, Toccafondi, it come up beside the experimentation with other collaborators or individual that always pursues a line of research on the relationship between architecture and urban text. This research was aimed at identifying the architectural autonomy and heteronomyto interpret in the most appropriate way the aesthetic components and values of the sites in a renewed relationship between architecture and the city.

Since the mid-eighties, the design activity takes place essentially with responsibility of the designer, sometimes compared to the universe of building production (Istituto Tecnico Archimede in Modica, Sicily and some houses in the same region).

Exchange with Raffaele Panella is collected in numerous projects competitions held together. Through this collaboration I have acquired the knowledge that in the design field must not stop with an assumption, it is necessary to go further in the understanding of the settlement systems through the rigorous study of the morphologies of the sites.

Some projects carried out with Alessandra Capuano (associated studio URBANLAB) mark a moment of reflection on the ways of architecture with respect to the need to give meaning and shape to the spaces and landscapes of the contemporary. During the experience of URBANLAB I coordinated the preliminary, definitive and executive architectural design work of the building of Rome’s Fiumicino interport.
In addition to urban design research focused mainly on the contemporary condition of the city, I have undertaken since 2001 more complex and original trajectories on the interweaving of creative processes and new technologies in the context of ALTROEQUIPE, directed by choreographer Lucia Latour, where I carried out a research founded on the interaction between architecture and motion capture and motion graphics technologies.

Currently the project activity is mainly carried out within the DiAP through the Architecture and Context Laboratory and Project Centre. Part of the design activity is also carried out through participation in national and international competitions as an architectural consultant. In this context I am currently coordinating the design of the architecture and urban layouts for the Museo dell’Opera di Federico Fellini in Rimini.

Some of the main projects for which I am responsible have been: the design of the Trento Course and Trieste in Lanciano in partnership with the RicciSpaini studio, the new structure of the Port of Chioggia, Rome 20/25 New cycles of life for the metropolis, the renovation of the Dopolavoro and theatre inside the University City and the New Biotechnology Complex of Sapienza at Pietralata.
Among the most recent achievements, the new Corso Trento e Trieste in Lanciano, the Piazza delle Pietre d’Italia (the first section of the Widespread Museum of the Great War) in Redipuglia and the staging for the exhibition Communicare la Democrazia. Press and public opinion at the origins of Democracy, at the Sala della Regina in Montecitorio.
